This is the landscape we'll look at from the veranda.

Here's a rough floor plan for about 1,200 square feet of interior space. The bedroom unit at the left and tower at right are separated from the great room by breezeways, but they and the veranda are also under the main roof.

Architect Brent Smith of Sacramento designed the house, shown here in the first sketch of the exterior. We hope to build with Rastha block, yeilding a thick-walled adobe look. I love the curved roof lines; Barb's still thinking about that.
